How this budget is calculated
This calculator simply subtracts every expense category from your take-home income. What's left is your available savings for the month — the number that matters most for building wealth over time.
Savings = Income − (Rent + Food + Transport + Bills + Other)
Example: on a ₹60,000 income with ₹18,000 rent, ₹10,000 food, ₹4,000 transport and ₹6,000 bills, you'd save ₹22,000 — about 37% of income.
Tips to save more each month
- Automate a transfer to savings the day you're paid, before you can spend it.
- Review subscriptions every quarter — cancel what you don't use.
- Cook at home a few extra days a week; food is the easiest category to trim.
- Track every expense as it happens so nothing slips through unnoticed.
